Spend It In Queen Creek AZ – Robert J. Weber P.C. insetOne-on-One. Something that sets Robert J. Weber, P.C. apart is that Robert meets personally with his clients. This means that he doesn’t turn over the initial meeting to a secretary or paralegal. Instead, when you sign documents, Robert is there with you, ready to answer your questions. Robert also promises his clients that—whenever they have questions or concerns about the documents Robert prepared for them—they can call or email him (and he doesn’t bill time for that because he wants the documents to work!). Thus, Robert takes a lot of time with his clients. The initial consultation usually takes about an hour. When clients come in to sign documents and Robert explain things, that takes around another hour. Robert is very hands-on, and he stresses to his clients that, “They don’t hire my secretary or my paralegal. They hire me.”

About Robert J. Weber. Robert J. Weber became interested in law at the suggestion of his father. His dad actually worked for a company that used lawyers, so Robert’s dad, viewing the impact of lawyers, advised Robert that it might be something to look into. When Robert was in college, the Vietnam War was being waged. As such, Robert got married his junior year of college and applied for Officers Candidate School with the Air Force, before being disqualified for foot problems.

Once Vietnam ended, Robert pondered what he would do with the rest of his life. This question led Robert to attend law school, where he started in 1967 and graduated in 1970. Later, Robert went to work at the Federal Public Defender Office in Phoenix. Robert moved from that office to the County Public Defender Office, where he dedicated 14 ½ years of his time. In 1985, Robert started his own practice—still doing criminal work, just not nearly as much as he used to. At that point in his career, Robert wanted to see what area he could get into and what he liked. Thus, Robert began estate planning. Then, he tried personal injury and family law (which he later stopped doing, because family law was so contentious). Today, Robert still does estate planning work, which he’s done since 1985. In fact, Robert just passed the anniversary of his completion of 50 years as an attorney!

In 2001, Martindale-Hubble—a peer reviewed rating service—rated Robert as an AV Preeminent, the highest peer rating standard. What does this rating mean? This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him/her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, as well as communication skills and ethical standards. Certainly, Robert has the legal know-how and experience to tackle cases and help people plan for their estate. Robert served for 16 years (1986-2002) in the Superior Court as a pro team Superior Court judge. Robert enjoyed serving in that capacity quite a lot. Robert adds, “It gave me an entirely different perspective on legal representation. Now, I can pretty well look at a case and say, ‘Here’s what the judge is likely to do.’” In addition, Robert had the opportunity to sit on one jury in a personal injury matter, and it was unusual because attorneys are usually excluded from juries, because of their legal knowledge. However, Robert mentions, “That experience gave me some additional perspective.” Robert also believes in giving back locally by being active in his community’s YMCA and the Tempe High School Education Foundation. Robert believes it’s important to contribute time to worthy organizations—like those mentioned above—whenever possible.
