Spend It In Chandler AZ – Phoenix Childrens Academy insetA Skill-Based Curriculum. Phoenix Children’s Academy’s academic curriculum is called Ascend and was developed at Phoenix Children’s Academy. Curriculum develops children’s cognitive, physical, social-emotional, and creative abilities through skill-targeted learning. For example, if pre-K is learning about sorting, their math center will focus on sorting as well and so will their other classes. This skill-based approach helps children reach important developmental milestones and teaches them how to solve problems, think critically, and become more independent.

Phoenix Children’s Academy’s teachers progressively introduce essential skills at every age level and then fine-tune the skills needed for success in kindergarten during Kindergarten Club. The goal is for every child in every classroom, even infants, to age out of the program fully prepared for kindergarten.

Kind Child. A key component of Phoenix Children’s Academy’s curriculum and the foundation of their school’s culture is Kind Child. Their Kind Child coursework helps children develop valuable character traits and focuses on social-emotional skills, such as Responsibility, Thankfulness, Forgiveness, and a Positive Self-Image. Phoenix Children’s Academy’s staff practices kindness in their daily interactions, creating a nurturing environment where everyone feels welcome and valued.

Fun-Filled Days. At Phoenix Children’s Academy, they believe that young children learn best when they’re having fun! The flexibility built into their curriculum allows their teachers to modify learning activities to match the interests, needs, and learning styles of each student. Your child’s early educational experiences will be engaging, challenging, and fun, so they develop a lifelong love of learning and look forward to coming to school!

Nurturing Environment. When children feel comfortable in their environments, they flourish. Phoenix Children’s Academy’s homelike environments reduce tension and make it easier for young children to transition successfully from home to school. Calming colors, pillows, warm fabrics, and soft lighting create a nurturing environment where children can relax and feel at home.

Food for Thought. Phoenix Children’s Academy’s Food for Thought menus ensure that children are fed nutritious meals and snacks that nurture their bodies and minds. Students also get to participate in special cooking projects, where they learn about balanced eating habits and healthy living. Plus, late afternoon snacks mean kids don’t come home hungry!

Meaningful Communication. When there’s a strong partnership between school and home, children thrive. Phoenix Children’s Academy’s schools have an open-door policy, and they encourage parents to visit at any time. They also offer a variety of communication modes to keep parents informed about their child’s day and their overall academic progress.

Meet the Director: Angel Madrigal is the director of Phoenix Children’s Academy’s Chandler Dobson school. She has been with PCA for 9 years and says it’s like her home away from home. Working for the company is like working with family, and it’s the same way with the school. For example, new kids are welcomed with an event just for them. Their name is posted on a welcome sign out front.

Angel believes Phoenix Children’s Academy provides a personal touch. The staff develops a strong connection with the families of the students. Furthermore, they are very involved. They hold family events at the school, like snow days with companies from the community donating food and helping out.

Phoenix Children’s Academy Reviews

“Amazing staff and the chef they have is wonderful takes good care of the children needs and any food allergies very attentive and the food smells amazing!”—Junior M.

“Loved the daycare and preschool activities. I felt they really cared about our child. It is always clean and her teachers were always easy to talk to.”—Yesenia H.

“We love Phoenix Children’s Academy. Our boys, now 1 and almost 3 love their teachers so much. Ana, Renee and Avery are so great with the little babies. My youngest has a big smile on his face each time he comes in to see them. And my oldest comes home talking each day about what he learned and did with Erica and Monique. Clean complex and facility, open until 6:30 (which I found to be a rarity) and they have a splash pad which is fun for the kids in summer. Also have parents night out and several other events throughout the year like farm animals, a halloween festival etc, which my kids have loved.”—Ali M.

“Love love love this place! The entire staff is so friendly and I feel very comfortable leaving my son in their capable hands. I would not dream of taking him anywhere else. They are the best.”—Jordan A.

“The best decision we have made is sending our daughter to PCA. The teachers and staff are great and she is learning something new everyday. It is an organized, structured learning environment while still allowing the kids to have fun.”—Rob P.
