About. Old Cove Canoe & Kayak is ecstatic to offer high-quality private float trips along the peaceful Meramec River! Because Old Cove Canoe & Kayak is located in Saint Clair, it’s convenient for folks living in Union and Washington to find serenity along the flowing waterway. Plus, Saint Clair is an easy drive from anywhere in the St. Louis metro area, making it a perfect weekend getaway or day trip for you and your crew!

Hours of Operation. Old Cove Canoe & Kayak is open weekends, Friday to Sunday. That said, they’re happy to open during the week if you have a group of over 25 people (and it’s nice to have the river to yourself on weekdays!). As for start times, canoers/kayakers can start their trip anytime between 9:00 a.m. and noon, offering customers plenty of convenience. Since you need to be off the water by 5:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 6:00 p.m. on Sundays, you can have hours of enjoyment out on the Meramec. 

Trip Lengths. Old Cove Canoe & Kayak is proud to offer different trip lengths for their valued clients! They have both short and long trips, but that’s just the distance you’ll go. You can book the short trip and still be on the water all day, as you’ll still have time to stop and swim, picnic, and just enjoy the serenity. 

Customer Service. At Old Cove Canoe & Kayak, customer service is always their number one priority!
