About. Kat Benns, owner of locally owned and operated Healthy Happy Feet, has had a long-time passion for self-care. It all started back when she was a teenager painting her own nails and also doing hair and nails for her friends and family. As Kat was taking care of her family and friends, she recognized that they were relaxed and happy with the services she provided. Although Kat’s passion for nail care never diminished, she began her career in the corporate world. When Kat found herself without work, she knew a career change was needed.

That’s why Kat decided to obtain her license in cosmetology, and over the coming years she gained experience working at different spas and hair salons before opening her own shop in 2017. In salon settings, Kat realized that she was incredibly passionate about foot care, because they bear our weight every day, get us where we need to go, and deserve special care because of it.

So in 2019, Kat earned her Advanced Nail Technician certification before earning her Medical Nail Technician certification, too. These courses gave Kat the chance to learn more about the foot’s anatomy, plus intern with a podiatrist for 40 hours so that she could learn about foot care from a medical perspective. By 2021, Kat had changed her business’s name from Beautify Yourself to its current name of Healthy Happy Feet. Under this new name, Kat is helping her clients get the healthy and happy feet they deserve!
