Meet the Owner: Eclecticshht owner, Tonja, loves the hunt for interesting and eclectic items, whether cultural or designer. So how did the business get started? Back in the day, Tonja had a hoarder boyfriend. As a result, Tonja needed to get rid of a lot of stuff—she started selling it.

Word soon got around that Tonja had a talent for buying and selling cool stuff. People stared bringing Tonja their things to sell on consignment. And the business took off from there!

A Family Treasure Hunt. Tonja has kids, and they have family-oriented items to offer too. They get other things to enjoy and pass along their outgrown items. While Tonja owns another business, Eclecticshht is a fun thing she and her family do together to recycle and to hunt for hidden treasures. They find items they like and then share them with all who want to look!

Fair, Honest Appraisals. Tonja has the resources to find the value of hard-to-appraise items. She won’t just guess at what something is worth. Tonja will spend the time necessary to research the item in order to get a realistic price. And she’s always happy to tell folks what their things are worth, even if they want to try to sell it themselves.

Tonja takes pride in treating customers fairly and honestly, and she is willing to work with everyone. For example, Tonja sells things for other people, such as liquidating items in a house or clearing out storage spaces. She then splits the profits 50-50 with the owner.
