DYBO (Dance Your Buns Off) Dance Academy, is a locally owned and operated dance academy for kids and their parents. DYBO offers many dance packages that cater to families. While a child is in class, the adult may also be in a dance class such as hip hop. It’s a great way to relieve the stress of the day and get a great workout in at the same time!
Classes for everyone. They offer all types of classes including ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, and hip hop. Every class has varying levels, from beginners to advanced.
Sometimes the children will come and perform for the adults and vice versa. It’s a great way to show your little ones that you can still bust a move. If you’re not a dancer, DYBO has a big lounge area where parents can sit and relax, watch the big screen TV, or read a magazine.
DYBO is performance based, not competition based. Instead of focusing on winning competitions, DYBO students have many chances to perform at local festivals and events. The instructors here understand that there’s already a lot of pressure on children coming from so many areas. Dance shouldn’t be one of them.
That’s why the academy is all about fun and not about pressure. It’s important that kids can have a time to de-stress and release their day’s frustrations.
Talented teachers. After starting out in Los Angeles and performing on Broadway, head teacher Miss Niesha found her calling at DYBO Dance Academy. She loves working with and being around kids and has a true heart for improving their lives.
Eric, one of the owner/teachers, had a mom who always supported him and loved to see him perform. He wants today’s kids to feel the same interest and support in what they are doing.
No skills necessary. Even if your child doesn’t have an ounce of rhythm, they will still have a lot of fun. They will be taught counting, choreography, and respect. Everything is “yes sir, no sir, please, and thank you” at DYBO Dance Academy.
One big family. The family atmosphere continues well after class is over. There’s always a group of families hanging around and talking. Eric laughs and says, “We never get out of here on time. But we love it!”
