An Incredible Career. DAWC trains students to be Qualified Dental Assistants, and the school has been producing dental assistants for more than 20 years. Why do individuals keep returning to DAWC for training? Because dental assisting is a great career! As a dental assistant, you’ll have the chance to help people improve their oral health, and you’ll never be bored on the job because no 2 days are ever the same. What’s more, experienced dental assistants who are trained by DAWC can expect to be on a higher starting pay scale than non-experienced assistants (and most offices won’t ever consider hiring someone without experience!).
The Courses. DAWC’s courses consist of 10 weeks of training, during which time students are gaining experience that will prepare them for working in a dental office. At DAWC, all classes are instructed by leading dental professionals, all of whom follow the most current methods for oral health. What’s more, DAWC’s facility features state-of-the-art equipment, so you can rest assured that you’re learning on the types of equipment that you’ll be using in your career. Courses are approximately 60% lectures, 10% labs, and 30% hands-on training, so you’ll be a well-rounded dental assistant. What’s more, students receive the personalized attention they deserve, as there are never more than ten students per one instructor. So if you’re ready for fast-paced, exciting coursework, apply for DAWC’s upcoming courses!
Graduates. Once you’ve successfully completed all of your training and graduated from DAWC, you’ll receive a Certificate of Dental Assisting and will be ready to work on your first day in the office. With your new certificate, you’ll be able to step into the dental practice and go, which saves dentists a tremendous amount of money and time versus training their own assistant. As a proud DAWC graduate, a long and rewarding career is awaiting you!
