In the Beginning. Trina Musick has owned her own grooming business since 1985. She started grooming in 1979 when she was just 23. How did Trina get started? She really liked animals and the pet industry. She first wanted to be a vet when she was 16, but vet school wasn’t in the picture. In 1979, Trina got hired as a pet groomer on the condition that she stayed on for a year. Six years later, she formed Precision Pet Grooming by Trina Musick . Later changed it to Trina’s Precision Pet Styling. Now AZPRECISIONPET 101 LLC.

Experience You Can Trust. When it comes to working with animals, Trina says you must have patience. A lot of groomers don’t, and it shows in the results, as well as the behavior of the animal after the grooming is finished. This pertains to aggressive animals especially. Trina has the experience to do it right. She knows the body language of animals and understands what to watch out for. That makes all the difference!

In fact, Trina can retrain a pet to be calm during grooming, but only if she grooms them regularly. She can also give the owner tips on how to improve the overall behavior of the animal.

On-the-Go Grooming. AZPRECISIONPET 101 has always been mobile only, offering you the convenient AND flexible pet grooming services you deserve. Trina likes the freedom of an appointment-based business. She is currently on her fourth vehicle. It has air conditioning, which keeps the animals comfortable.

Trina’s slogan is, “For the health and wellbeing of you and your pet.” When a groomer knows what they are doing, it makes it really easy on the owner.

Services offered:

• A fully self-contained mobile unit brought to you for the comfort of you AND your pet
• Grooming services include ears, nails, anal glands, bath, blow dry, finalizing your dog’s hairstyle with a scissor finish
• Groom all breeds of small to medium size dogs
• All groomings are completed with a brush and comb out, including a deshedding process as needed
• Complete with a scissor finish

A Professional Poodle Breeder. Trina also breeds and shows her miniature poodles. In 2008, the economic crash changed the grooming business. People got into the business that didn’t know what they were doing. Trina saw this as an opportunity to differentiate herself. She started grooming poodles to get really good at scissor cuts while the newbies were mostly shaving animals with a clipper because that’s all they knew how to do. This really took Trina’s grooming game to the next level.

It was then a logical progression to start breeding Miniature Poodles. Trina went to Europe to pick up her first dog that had qualities she was looking for to start showing in confirmation. It was a big learning curve to master the approved haircuts for the miniature poodles showing in confirmation. Breeding the size and type of miniature poodle took studying pedigrees and reviewing results from other breeders that produced top quality dogs.. Puppies will have a 5-year guarantee on genetic health with complete satisfaction of health checks prior to sale. As a breeder/owner/handler, Trina takes full responsibility of the puppies.
