Meet the Owner: AZ Automasters owner, Mike Koch, had been an ASE master technician and electrical diagnostic tech for many years before deciding to open his own shop. Mike wanted to be able to offer great customer service. He knew at AZ Automasters, he could do a better job than the corporate auto repair shops did.

AZ Automasters supports many charitable donations for local causes, such as military veterans, seniors, and student discounts. They also feature seasonal discounts, like A/C in the summer and batteries in the winter. Mike is also pleased to feature the Maintenance for Moms program. Mike was raised by a single mom and saw her struggle to put food on the table for he and his siblings and to pay the rent, let alone afford car repairs as they would occur. That’s why he wants to help other single mothers.

Maintenance for Moms: Mike sympathizes with how difficult it can be to raise a family alone, while juggling work and bills, so as finances allow, once a month AZ Automasters assists a single mother in need of auto repairs by offering a deeply discounted rate. This discount is typically between 40 and 50% less than the standard cost of repairs. They are able to do this, as a team effort, largely due to their technicians who volunteer to rotate monthly to work at a discounted rate.

For single moms interested in Maintenance for Moms, they can submit an online form via AZ Automasters’ website to send a description of their situation, and include such details as the year, make, and model of their vehicle, along with what repairs the vehicle needs and any quotes they may have received for those repairs. The responses are printed and AZ Automasters does a random drawing at the end of each month and will contact the selected recipient.
