Why Install a Monarch Waystation? Every autumn, millions of monarch butterflies begin their journey from the United States and Canada to central Mexico, where they’ll stay for the winter before returning back north in the spring. While monarch migration is one of the world’s greatest natural wonders, habitat loss in Mexico, as well as a loss of breeding areas in the United States and Canada, is a constant threat to these majestic butterflies.

Monarch Waystations provide the needed resources for these monarchs to thrive and produce successive generations, ensuring that monarch migration continues as it has for thousands of years. •  Eleven 1 gallon Milkweeds (minimum 2 different species)
• Twelve 1 gallon nectar plants (individual species and counts of the 11 to be selected by the customer from over 30. A slideshow will be sent to each client prior to installation, and from this show of over 30 low-water desert-adapted nectar plants, the client can select their 12 plants)
• Five 5 gallon cover plants (to be selected from a slideshow of over 10 species)
