Your local craft distillery. Unlike big name beverage companies, Adventurous Stills does everything themselves. As a “grain to glass” distillery, there is no outsourcing. Everything is done in house with the utmost attention to every detail, ensuring that each beverage is of the highest quality.

Come and see their custom built stills! Adventurous Stills builds their own equipment—even their own stills! One of the owners was a mechanic, and the other knows how to weld. Together, they built 50 gallon and 100 gallon copper stills, and a 600 gallon stainless steel still!

All of the stills started as flat pieces of metal which are shaped and welded together. Copper welding in particular is difficult and requires a lot of talent but the extra effort resulted in custom stills perfectly suited to produce the type and volume of spirits that you’ll find here.

Explorers Club. Members of the Explorers Club are on the leading edge of the adventure. They get to experience things off the beaten path such as liquors made from ancient grains, barrel rested gin, white and blue corn whiskey, and more! Explorers Club has a membership fee of just $250 a year. Please note that it’s not legal for Adventurous Stills to ship their products, so for Explorers Club members, alcohol must be picked up in-person or by a friend. Some added perks of having an Explorers Club membership include:

• Advanced tastings of new releases
• 15% off purchases in the tasting room
• Sign-up bonus (2 free rocks glasses, a t-shirt, or hat)

Distillery Tours. There’s no better way to experience the art of crafting liquor than by taking a distillery tour! Tours are available every hour on the hour (except Thursdays). Cost is only $45.00 per person and takes about 40 to 50 minutes to complete. Adventurous Stills will explain the process of making distilled spirits, along with some of the challenges they experienced while building their equipment and setting up the distillery. Tourists will enjoy tastes of 4 to 8 spirits AND craft cocktails at the Tasting Room bar afterward. Please note that the last tour is 1 hour prior to closing time!

Finally Thursday! Adventurous Stills sets aside each Thursday to bottle sales, alcohol tasting, and cocktails. Don’t miss out on some Thursday fun at Adventurous Stills!

Meet the Owners: Jeff Resigner, Chase Estrin, and Kelly Lattig are all really smart fellas with backgrounds in engineering and mechanics. They also share a love for adventure and travel, hence the name Adventurous Stills. Jeff and Kelly started as home brewers crafting beer, champaign, and wine. Later, a friend bought two hobby stills from Amazon and challenged them to make a rum. They accepted the challenge and invited friends over for a tasting. Everyone loved it and Adventurous Stills was born!

Today, Adventurous Stills is highly acclaimed, even winning 2019 Best of the Valley. They’re also proud members of Local First Arizona and are a certified 2020 Arizona Green Business.
