About. Casual Foodie Cafe is a locally owned family business run by Corey and Maddy Schelp. Their foray in the food world began nine years ago, when Casual Foodie started as a food truck. Unfortunately, the food truck’s engine blew in year three, right after getting a new transmission. Since the Schelps didn’t have the funds to fix the truck, they parked it and then bought a trailer and a pickup truck to tow it. Fast-forward to January 2020, when they started working with Red Crow Brewery in Olathe. Since Red Crow was in the market for a full-time partner to provide food, Corey towed the dead truck to the brewery, where he used it as a kitchen.
As Casual Foodie Truck and Red Crow navigated this new venture, they ended up becoming full-time partners! Their next step? To open up a brick and mortar location called Casual Foodie Cafe in Corporate Woods, Overland Park. These days, Casual Food Cafe is proud to serve the community by offering up delicious breakfast and lunch items to their valued clients. As for the Schelps, when Corey and Maddy aren’t providing customers with a quality food experience, they enjoy spending time with their three young children.
Hours. Casual Foodie Cafe is always ready to serve you a scrumptious breakfast or lunch that will leave you ready for more! To serve their valued clients, Casual Foodie Cafe is open Mondays through Fridays, from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (except on Fridays, when they close at 2:00 p.m.).
Delivery, Delivery! Casual Foodie Cafe understands that you’re busy. While their restaurant is conveniently located, sometimes you’re still unable to visit in-person due to work or other time constraints. Here’s the good news: Casual Food Cafe can deliver! They do drop-off catering for local offices and medical buildings, plus bulk corporate box lunches. No matter whether you have a large group or you’re the only one in your office needing a delivery, Casual Foodie Cafe has you covered.
Private Events. When you’re looking to serve up some mouth-watering fare at your next private event, look no further than Casual Foodie Cafe! Their mobile food truck is on standby, ready to serve guests at your wedding, grad party, birthday, office lunch, or other special event. With tacos, nachos, and hamburgers, there should be something to please every palette!
Menu. Casual Foodie Cafe offers at least one rotating entree option for folks who work nearby and visit the restaurant three times a week or more, plus the following menu items:
