Tongue Tie. Tongue tie affects a baby’s ability to move the tongue and it is most often associated with a lip tie, although buccal ties may be present as well. While tongue tie can make it difficult for your child to breastfeed, First Food for Baby is here to help! With years of experience navigating tongue ties, First Food for Baby can help you overcome these challenges to keep baby happy and healthy.
Home Visits. Not ready, or perhaps unable, to leave the comfort of your home? First Food for Baby offers home visits, too, which is a great option for mothers who had c-sections. Through home visits, you don’t have to worry about getting the baby dressed and in the car. Plus, your child will be exposed to fewer germs than if they were in an office with other people.

First Food for Baby Reviews
“Rene’ is amazing! I credit her constant support, instant feedback and compassion with success breastfeeding my baby. Even though my baby was not diagnosed with a tongue/lip tie in the hospital I knew something wasn’t right just by the way she breastfed when we went home. I called Rene’, saw her same day and over 5 weeks we worked together to correct a multitude of issues (Tonge tie, tight neck, tight jaw, cracked nipples-you name it) and now we are still breastfeeding at 1 year. Rene’ was able to give me so many great resources and also provide reassurance. As a nurse myself, and talking to our pediatrician, lactation consultants are highly trained to help mothers and babies breastfeed. Where as in nursing and medical school we are just taught about the benefits of breastfeeding with minimal instruction/training. I think it’s always good to have a great relationship with your medical provider but never underestimate the knowledge and wisdom of a great lactation consultant! Breastfeeding is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done and there were so many times I wanted to quit, but with perseverance and Rene’ I feel thankful I was able to succeed. Thank you!!” -Carey N.
“Rene is one of the best health care providers I have ever met. She is personable, calm, genuinely kind and very knowledgeable. Rene came running to my rescue the day my milk came in. I was a panicked first time mama because I couldn’t get by baby to latch due to engorgement and was scared my baby was getting too hungry. I left Rene a voicemail in tears and within the hour she was texting me with advice and resources and provided me with immediate assistance when she didn’t even know who I was, we didn’t even have an appointment yet. Also important to mention, this was on a Sunday. She was able to come to my home the very next day. She provided me with guidance and resources on how to manage hyper lactation, gave my little one an exam and answered all of our questions and addressed our concerns. She was extremely kind and had a calm presence, my baby and I were both comfortable around her from the second we met. After our visit, she sent over a plan for care and checked in with me multiple times to make sure everything was still going okay. She saved us on a really hard day from almost caving into exclusively pumping. We have now been exclusively breastfeeding successfully for the last 2 weeks. I am so beyond grateful for Rene’s help and expertise. Look no further for a knowledgeable, experienced, educated IBCLC in Phoenix.” -Sierra M.
“Rene’ is a compassionate and experienced lactation consultant (IBCLC) and breastfeeding counselor. She does as much volunteer work with breastfeeding dyads as she does professional work. Her passion is helping babies breastfeed successfully. She’s very resourceful with years of professional education and knowledge to share. Her genuine, personable and fun personality is the reason her clients love her!” -Carol K.
