The Iliad Academy Preschool. When a child heads to preschool, it is a formative time in their educational experience. Not only does it lay the foundation for future learning, but it also prepares them for Kindergarten and beyond. If your child is ready to begin preschool, visit The Iliad Academy Preschool in Buckeye, Arizona!
Dedicated Leadership. Eve Cunningham has been working in the field of early childhood education for over 30 years. She earned her degree in Early Childhood Education and holds an Early Childhood Teaching Certificate. She has taught at The Glendale Community College Child Development Center, City of Phoenix Head Start, Tesseract Preschool in Paradise Valley, and Estrella Mountain Preschool in Goodyear. She also served as the Assistant Director of ASU West’s Child Development Center and Lab School.
In 2009, Eve was instrumental in developing The Iliad Academy’s elite program. She continues working diligently to ensure that The Iliad Program continues to provide the same quality that our Iliad families have come to count on.
High-Quality. The Iliad Academy began in 2010 as part of the Odyssey Charter School. While The Iliad Academy is a branch of Odyssey, the preschool gives children the excellent preparation they need to excel in any kindergarten, public, private, or charter school.
The Iliad Academy is NOT daycare, but rather a high-quality educational preschool. When your child attends The Iliad Academy, you are giving them the structure they need to find success!
Individualized. At The Iliad Academy, children receive individual attention, making sure they’re receiving the education they need. Plus, the low student-to-teacher ratio helps ensure each child gets the devotion that’s necessary for them to shine in preschool.
Learning is Fun! What’s more, when your child attends The Iliad Academy, they receive hands-on learning. Instead of sitting and listening to material, they actively participate in the lessons. This makes learning fun, all while keeping students engaged.
Mommy and Me. The Iliad Academy’s Mommy and Me classes allow you to bond with your child while the program promotes your youth’s development, discovery, and socialization. Don’t let the name mislead you; the Mommy and Me classes aren’t just for moms and their children—the program is also perfect for fathers, grandparents, and more. For one morning a week, you’ll see your child blossom through activities that delight them, all while their progress will excite you!
Registration. Registration for The Iliad Academy Preschool begins in February for the 2024-2025 school year. It’s on a first come, first served basis, so don’t delay in registering your child!

The Iliad Academy Preschool Reviews
“My husband and I are so happy with this preschool! They are attentive, caring and incredibly knowledgeable about child development. Her teachers and front office have excellent communication with parents. I also appreciate that they follow through with rules they put in place and are very organized. My daughter has a great time and loves going to school.” -Lilly T.
“Both my children have attended Iliad and we have just loved it! My youngest daughter and I also went to their mommy and me class and had a phenomenal experience! The staff here is kind and patient, the director Ms. Eve is an incredible women. Her attention to details is super comforting and I have complete trust in this school.” -Kat R.
“The best way to judge this school is by the glow in my son’s face as he talks about his teacher, Mrs. Halmrast. I was worried about how my introverted boy would do away from home – but Iliad quickly became a home away from home for him. We could not be happier with our choice in preschool or feel better prepared both socially and academically for kindergarten to start!” -Kristen S.
“We absolutely love the Iliad Acadamy, the entire staff is just amazing. They truly devote themselves to making each child feel important and special. We just finished my second daughter’s school year there and the director (Eve Cunningham) remembered my eldest daughter from 5 years ago and greeted her by name on the first day of school this year! My girls looked forward to going to school everyday and are sad the year is over.” -Judith C.
“Amazing staff. My daughter loved going to school. Being a first time mom, it was nice to have this school’s love and support with all things for my daughter and every student.” -Rita D.
