If you have ever visited Costa Rica, one term you should be familiar with is “Pura Vida” (pronounced poo-rah vee-dah). Simply translated, Pura Vida means “simple life” or “pure life.” In Costa Rica, it is more than just a saying…it is a way of life!
Meet the Owners: Angela and Lobo, Pura Vida Grinds owners, got their inspiration from Lobo’s Costa Rican roots. During their travels to Costa Rica, the couple wanted to connect with the country’s lifestyle and wanted to share that vibe with Arizona. Angela and Lobo later acquired a trailer and spent the next nine months refurbishing it, working on branding, designing a logo, and establishing a following.
It was two years ago in April when they first received their permit to open their business. Since then, Angela and Lobo have found an indoor location in Mesa where they can pull their trailer inside and serve customers from their home base when they are not out at events. They also have cool Costa Rican items for sale.

Pura Vida Grinds imports a well-balanced blend of beans directly from a small farm in Costa Rica. Once Pura Vida Grinds places an order, the farm roasts it fresh and ships it to Mesa. Pura Vida Grinds also uses locally-sourced ingredients to provide the purest expression of unique taste and unrivaled quality.
