Rare Finds. While Uncle Aldo’s Attic focuses on vintage vinyl from the 1950s to the 1980s, there’s also an impressive collection of eight-track cartridges and cassette tapes. Other cool finds have included Star Wars action figures, a 1967 Monkees vinyl lunchbox and thermos, vintage videogames, and vinyl accessories, like a rare 1970’s Morse Electrophonic Music Center with mirrored infinity lights that flash to the musical beat—imagine that at your next party!
Record Swap! Uncle Aldo’s Attic hosts events, such as the East Valley Record Swap Meet, where lots of dealers sell vintage vinyl records, cassette tapes, and more. There are also consignment bins with tons of records from various vendors. Stop by to connect with other vinyl enthusiasts!
Meet the Owner: Desi Scarpone, a life-long collector of vintage items, was born in Arizona. Later, he moved to California to study film at UCLA. Scarpone spent 30 years in the film industry, working as a production supervisor at Universal Studios and a post-production supervisor for Disney. During this time, he amassed a huge assortment of collectibles.
When Scarpone moved back to Arizona, he noticed the lack of vintage record shops. So he decided to open Uncle Aldo’s Attic, stocking it with items from his personal collection. You never know what hidden gem you may find at Uncle Aldo’s Attic!
